Thread: Covertech Hole Question

  1. #1

    Default Covertech Hole Question

I know that you're technically not supposed to drill into the threaded sections, but if I wanted to put a covertech wheel over a section of female threads, could I drill and tap the female threaded section, and then trim the covertech screw so that it doesn't interfere with the male threads of a pommel when I screw it in?

You'll more than likely wind up ruining one, if not both pieces. I wouldn't recommend it.

In almost all parts the material is not thick enough to form threads in just the female threading and not have the screw be in the way of the male threaded section screwing in.
