2 prong 2.1mm port question

I came across some 2 prong/lead 2.1mm ports. Can these be wired as a recharge port? Or is that not possible, Thanks

You should be able to charge with that, but it won't automatically cut power to your saber electronics during the charging process. You may want to consider installing a kill switch for your electronics.

Would a latching switch on the negative wire between the battery and the sound board do the job?

Put it on the negative wire between the recharge port and the board, and it'll work just fine.
