Thread: Same old wiring question

    Default Same old wiring question

So, there are quite a few of these, and I've found many more searching around.
Just wanted to be sure I'm getting things right:

    subjects:
    NBv4
    powerex
    Red/Green/Royal Blue Cree XP-E2 CopperNova
    resistors

Speaker is fine; first 2 pads on nbv4
third pad, activation, goes to switch +
L1/L2/L3 are where the negative of each led goes: 2 straight from the leds, one going through the extender (from what I've gathered, it doesn't matter which goes where, right?)
    - pad led negative, battery negative and extender negative goes here
+ pad all the led positives and the battery positive.

Question, where do i put the resistors?
I have a dynaohm (should be between led positive and NBv4 I think), a 0.5ohm resistor I've seen it used both on positive wires and negative wires, which is the correct way/ and a 1.2 ohm resistor (should be for the red I think) likewise seen it used both on negative and positive.

Thanks for your time, I will try and post a diagram if things arent clear enough

Resistor goes to either the positive or negative LED wires, doesn't matter which one.
Personally I put them on the +ve lead so I can join them all to one lead that connects to the battery

It does not matter which pad you wire each LED to, but I'd recommend doing them Red to L1, Green to L2, and Blue to L3, just so blade color is defined by RGB still.
