The color purple!

I have done a few searches and read about 20 posts but unfortunately I am not getting the answer i am looking for. mostly due to the photo sharing site that what seems like most people here use changed their service I cant see most of the pictures.

I am curious to see what a "DEEP RED" and "ROYAL BLUE" mix looks like. I have been getting my LEDs elsewhere and they don't have them listed the same. I bought a tri cree with Royal Blue and a Red, and no matter how high or low of a value resister I use I cant seem to get the deep purple color I am looking for. For Example I am trying to get something close to the neighborhood of a eggplant purple and YES I know you cant really get that color and if you could it would not show for crap. but something in that range would be awesome.
Added note I am not using any kind of sound board its just a illuminated setup.

So if anyone has any pictures of the deep red and royal blue mix would you please post a couple pictures for me?
And any other thoughts and comments or suggestions are always welcome!
