I wander if theres a way to crimp a sinktube without compleatly deforming it and making it useless.

I believe you can do that with a pipe cutter. I think I saw it on a hardware Mara hilt.Originally Posted by Ryma Mara
I don't own one big enough for sinktubes but it might be worth a try. I'm guessing you'd reverse the blade or just take it only for a single turn or so.

humm intresting. Thanks X
I was actually thinking about trying that, Ryma! I think x-wing is right, just one turn around the tube should do it. The only thing is, the tubing cutter that big is 20 bucks. I'd have to build a few more tube-sabers to make it worth it....I'm not sure what else I'd use it for. Maybe actually working on plumbing....

Proud owner of the first two Darth Maul conversion kits! Thanks Tim!
Okay, I finally ordered some more parts for this thing, and got them installed. I ordered a 1" blade with a double wrap of Corbin's film, and a set of grips.
I only had room to evenly space four of the grips because of the covertec whell, but I think the grips finish it off well.
The 1" blade was too top heavy for the lightweight hilt, so I removed the film and re-installed it into one of my 3/4" thin-walled blades.
These were taken with package-fresh Energizer e2 lithium batteries.

Personally, I like how the blade adapter lights up, it's a really cool effect even without the blade installed. I also forgot that I was going to add some score lines with a pipe cutter on either end of the grips. I was too excited to see it with the grips on, I guess!
