Default NB v4 Drive Settings for Colored Die

I've read the manual 10 times and I think I'm just dense but here it is: What drive setting do I use if I have an LED where the dice are the color I want the blade to be. I have a Tri-Cree dRdRW, with the two dR dice wired together off the first pad and the W wired off the second for FoC. Do I just drive at the max? When I looked at the manual, the example they showed (GGW) only had a drive setting of 900, and I wasn't following why. (PS: I have proper resistors. )

    drive 1023, 0,0
    fdrive 1023, 1023, 0

The Green drive of 900 is to run it without a resistor. You'd have to turn a red down too far to use that trick, so you are right to use a proper resistor and give it the full power.
