Thread: PeX Chassis question

  1. #1

    Default PeX Chassis question

So I'm going to do RGB with the new NBv4. I know I need a PeX. What the best way to mount a PeX in the chassis?

I'd planned on just chassis discs but would a printed chassis be more effective here?

Isn't the Pex onboard since v3? I haven't read the v4 manual yet so not sure.

PEX is still needed for RGB on NBv4.

What chassis are you using? GOTH chassis for NB have a spot. If using TCSS tape it to the battery if it's a non-removable battery.

    Just to expand on this:
    NBv1: Main channel only
NBv2: Main channel, FoC second channel (external PEx)
NBv3: Main channel, FoC second channel (onboard PEx)
NBv4: RGB main channel, RGB second channel (onboard PEx), RGB third channel (external PEx)

Originally planned to just use TCSS discs but didn't want to just tape the Pex down. If the Goth chassis has space for the Pex as well then that may be my route. I just wasn't sure

I am sorry, but I don't understand this?
If you wanted to color mix, would you need an external PEx or could you do with with the three channels on-board?
Why have an onboard PEx and option for an external PEx as well?

    rampant,
I think you can do both,
having the option allows for more powah!

but if you want 3 color mixing and full power on all three die, you will need PeX

And a PeX is all of $6 and change so it's an easy call
