    Post Custom LED questions...

    So currently I have my custom mhs saber and the tri Cree isn't as bright as I would like (Amber, white, deep red) I'm looking at changing it out to get a brighter output

    Looking at;
    http://www.luxeonstar.com/any-3-rebe...i-star-sinkpad

    2 pc Amber(132 lm) 1 deep red (640 mw)

    Or lime green(313 lm) red orange(134 lm) deep red (640 mw)

    Will these produce more light over the tri Cree on tcss?
    Has anyone used these combinations or does anyone have advise on this?

    Part of this all depends on the colors you are going for. As an example, Deep Red isn't a "bright" color compared to regular Red.

    "Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before... you want blindingly bright, super loud, running 1138 blinkies off of the cheapest sound card you can find AND you want all of it to run on a battery the size of a dime, and run for a very, VERY long time. That one cracks me up every time..."

    The colors that list miliwatts instead of lumins for their brightness do so because not all of the output light is visible. So the deep reds are going to give color, but not a lot of brightness, to anything you use them in.

    Good to know I just really love the deep red
