    Default Quick double check

    Custom Tri Cree
    Amber fV 2.65 @1A 1.5ohm
    Red Orange fV 2.5 @ 1A 1.5ohm
    White fV 3.15 @1A 1ohm

Using a 3.7 Battery. Rounded to 4V per Madcow's vid and verified with online LED calc. but still would like another set of eyes,

    That's totally fine.

So I wired it all up today before work and everything works but the blade seems really dim. I'm thinking I had a moron moment so let me see if I did this right.

POS on my FOC has the 1 ohm 3 watt resistor inline.

POS on each of my blade LEDs has a 1.5 ohm 3 watt resistor inline for each die.

Should I have just put a single 1.5ohm inline to both blade led positives ?

Single inline resistors or one on each LED will be the same electrically.

Check to be sure your battery is fully charged. Verify the settings on your sound card, some cards have defaults set a bit low for safety reasons.

What is your blade setup? Do you have any diffuser material in it? Clear blade, transwhite, or other?

Had the thought about the battery so it's on charge now. Blade is the TCSS 40" show. Gonna cut it a bit for a plug as well. Also tested with my MR blade just to compare.

I'll double check my card settings tonight when I get home. I overmanaged my wire and can't pull the chassis out lol. So I may rework my build to flip the NB to SD card facing rear.

    Thanks for the tips!

Well battery is full now and checked my settings, 1023 in both banks on drive and fdrive settings.

Going to play around with the blade a bit. It's really bright orange at the emitter but just seems to dim alot more than I'd expected by the blade tip. FoC white seems bright as blazes thou lol

I'll say this..........all the settings tinkering as me convinced next time to get a RICE compatible board.

Apparently I just needed to be in pitch black to really see it shine.

Guessing it's just due to the color but even in the garage with lights out doing a comparison with my converted MR Anakin with a rebel blue, this one seemed to fade alot more towards the end of the blade.

Maybe I'll snag a corbin style blade to see if that's better.

Well, the warm colors never look as bright as a blue or green. Our eyes are more sensitive to colors in the green range.

Adding more diffuser or lightly sanding the blade may improve the fading effect.

Since you've got the TCSS style thin-walled show blade, I'll suggest you add 4-6 feet of clear cellophane gift wrapping to it to even the light distribution. The Corbin style blade would also need the same, as it will also fade toward the tip.
