As for an update, sadly there isnt one yet. The bone I sent off to be painted fell off the face of the earth, not a big deal because I just printed another one. That being said I still cant paint for squat, so does anyone have someone to recommend?

For now, just look at that mirror polish!!
Did it get lost on the way? Or was it stolen?

I wouldnt say stolen, he'll get it to me eventually. The guy I sent it to is an old friend of mine and has a lot on his plate, which isnt a problem other than I'd like to get moving on this before he'll be able to get to it

after a new print and lots of experimenting, this is what I came up with.
Its okay, I'll probly print and try again.

Still open to suggestions if anyone has any!

Nice. I kinda like that old look to the bone actually. Has a slight decay look to it
Light or dark. the path doesn't matter. What matters is how you act once you have chosen a path

Tried some more painting. I think this one is better, but it needs... something.
If only I knew what that something is

Perhaps the aluminum half needs some weathering? That's what I'm feeling.

    Hey peeps

Final paint update, I figured out a way to give it a bleached bone look and couldnt be happier.
Not I have to decide if I want to weather it. I think it would look good weathered, but I dont know If I want to cover up the mirror polish that took so long to get done.

Thank you everyone for your advice and kind words on this build.
As always post you questions or ideas!
