    Default Ghetto-flex

    Oh Hai folks,

This is my interpretation of a graflex.

There was much contemplation and deciding wether or not this lightsaber was worthy enough to post on this site among all the other electronic works of art. After much deliberation I concluded that, no , it's probably not worthy to post here.

However, I am doing it anyway!

This is a sink tube I modified by hand and made all parts for. This is not the first one I have made, but the other two are back at the drawing board to try and get a better chasis system.

It is running a toy hasbro obiwan clonewars econo card (which has great effects, almost better than MR). 18650 lion 3200 Mah. I changed out and upgraded the clash sensors. It has a 2w bass speaker now I salvaged from an old battery operated speaker. The activation strip is from a TV remote I sanded down. It is "capacitive" activation which works with a moist finger or ring contact.

The blade screw will be the back button under the bunny ears. I'm thinking of painting it the proper red color. I might leave it brass to match the rest of the hilt.

Thanks for looking, any comments, suggestions, questions or scornful hatred is requested. Maybe not the last one.

No shame! Looks great! It looks like you aren't diffusing your blade. A few feet of clear gift wrap will provide a dramatic improvement.

Jbkuma, Thanks but I was thinking there might be too much wrap in there. I figure at least 10-12 feet. It also isn't evenly cut on the bottom. Also the lens isn't the right angle. I'm going to see what I can do to improve it.

I use like 48 inches of cellophane for my blade builds even for thin wall blades. This looks good though. Get the 40x100 length cellophane unroll long width until you hit 48 inches. Should be good then

It's not really crucial for it to be cut well, although it certainly doesn't hurt. I agree with, 4-6ft should be fine. I'm not sure if 10 would affect it much, but the lens angle is all important.

I have a couple of different cores for this one, but I am revisiting them both for upgrades.
