    Default WSO1 - Radioactive Commission

    Commission completed!

Dustin wanted to do a radioactive themed saber utilizing the amazing Rebel Lime leds. I'm very pleased with the results as I hope he is.
    Specs:
    NEC Igniter 2
Tri Rebel Lime led for blade
Single Rebel Lime for crystal chamber
40 Carat Phantom Lemuria seed quartz crystal
Uranium doped marble for power crystal
18650 LiIon battery w/ in hilt recharge

Hilt is 100% MHS parts that I custom machined for detail. It was then acid etched, weathered with aluminum black and lastly polished with mothers mag polish. I'm very pleased with the result as is it's new owner.

Really like that crazy damaged etching and weathering! And that LED gives it the look we relate to nuclear reaction. Nice work!

I've never thought about using etching as a way of weathering. ...not in that style anyway. Great idea! I like it.

I did it first on the steampunk saber I built using half of an old MR darth maul saber and I loved the result...it works far quicker and with better result on MHS parts

Excellent work. The 'radioactive damage' etching is pretty awesome and unique. Well done.
