My brother recently built his own saber and being the competitive person I am, I have to one up him so here I am starting the journey. I've read around the forums and everyone seems very helpful and nice and glad to be a part of the community.

I have a few in mind but I was able to snag the crystal focus V8 off the shop after waiting and was planning to build around it. I did a lot of soldering boards in college so i'm pretty safe with that part. The only thing i'm trying to figure out right now is how it's all supposed to stay safe within the hilt. Haven't found much around about that, I saw a few people 3d printing their own internal electronics holders but I don't have the equipment for that so trying to research that atm.
The shop here sells everything you need for an internal chassis.

I hate to ask this as I don't think this is the place for it but could you point out what you are referring to? I see all the electronics and wiring but nothing that could be used to hold the board and parts together in the hilt.Originally Posted by darth_chasm

FYI, the acrylic discs marked "for PC" can be used for the CF. Also check out the video tuts section. There is at least one on chassis construction.

Ugh...thank you both for the reply. I didn't drill down into the modular hilts enough to see the spacers and disks.
