Thread: RGrB Tri-Cree without resistor

    Post RGrB Tri-Cree without resistor

Hey guys! I am already planning my second saber (which I buy directly after my first saber next week ) featuring a PRIZM and well RGB. I am using a Tri-Cree RGrB, the 3.7 V battery and one 1 ohm resistor because of the red. But while calculating i found out that i would need a 0.1 and 0.2 or something near there (already forgot ) which now leads to my question: this is such low resistance (not even resistors for that?) and I will propably not overdrive them anyways because of the RGB so: Can I wire the blue and green without resistors?
    Cheers,

    Greg

Its generally recommended to use a resistor on everything. I think most people use the 0.47 ohm 0.5 watt one from the store on greens and blues with a 3.7 V battery pack. $0.50 for a resistor vs. $25 for a blown LED.

Thank very much... Guess ill order the resistors just in case but i'll see.
