Smile Pico Crumble wiring LED question

The manual shows three LED pads, RGB. My LED has one color, Red. I wired activation pad to switch, switch to battery positive, battery positive and negative to board. Then I wired red pad to buck puck and buck puck to LED. Push button, nothing happens. Well something happened. I got frustrated. Six hours later, and six different wiring attempts and I give up. Anyone want my stuff?!!!

Buck puck and sound board are incompatible. Use a resistor for your led.

Buckpuck needs a minimum of 5v to operate. It doesn't work with any of the single-cell sound boards. All the double-cell sound boards have LED drivers, so they don't need a Buckpuck.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
