Make your choice on thickness. Many people don't care. Tim only has 1/8 though.

    Read this for blade length:

Yea Ultra I shake my head at some of the materials they use everytime i take one apart. Their poly even though it is thinner is way too hard like acrylic so it snaps leaving a nasty looking edge. I beleve with another 1/8 X 3/4 slid inside(I've Done this but only successful on 24" blades)they'd deflect some bullets. problem is you wouldn't know which way rhey'd go LOL I got my kids to hang from a 36" blade while me and a bud picked him up by the ends of the blade. no problemo. they are only 5 so they are not that heavy but it was cool!

I got my shipment of thick-ass blades and diffusers. Those damn blades are quite a bit heavier than I had thought they would be, but I bet it would take a train to break one.

I had a few of my friends over yesterday, gave them my x-tra blades and said "go outide and break them" then threw in a "bet you cant" just to get them to try hard. Keep in mind these are some of my SCA friends that I fight with and they do not hit light. We have had lots of things broken over the years fighting SCA. I personally have had my left hand shattered and my left wrist broken- Dont woory I give as much as I take[]HeHeHeHe!!! Anyway, beating the living crap out of each other, my HOUSE, concrete, boulders, and just plain bending them over knees and other various objects, all they managed to do was SHATTER on of my acrylic tips! These things are really starting to prove indestructable arent they? At least now all of my friends want one of thier own to beat on![][][]

yeah sca, i did the same thing on new years eve...dared some buddies to try and break my blades. plus they were drunk, which helped throw any "holding back" right out the window. no luck breaking them, and i use 1/16". i can't even imagine how much more rugged the 1/8" stuff is. ultra said it'd take a train wreck to break one...i'll feel sorry for the train in that case.
