This topic was posted before TCSS released the metal blade holder. It can be found here: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Ha...kit-P1225.aspx It is currently put of stock, but I believe Tim has stated it will be back in stock soon, and may even feature the open-cut on the emitter to more closely resemble the original plastic holder.

well for me personally, i always convert them for a few reasons.
    1. i like to be able to get rid of the string blade
    2. i like having the option to display the saber with or without the blade
    3. i like taking stuff apart and putting it back together..lol

this luke was the only one i converted without the blade holder because it wasn't available at the time. Then, I had another version of the blade holder sent to me and it's installed now. To be honest though, i will probably replace it with the TCSS version once back in stock. The one i have looks cool but it feels really "brittle" like it would break just as easy as the plastic holder. It's very thin aluminum. I did however order a new metal button and glass eye from TCSS and they are huge improvement on these sabers. Here's some conversion saber porn to look at. lol..

Damn, I am planning on buying that same bladeholder because of the accuracy and to make it duel worthy, and its more expensive than TCSS, that sucks, any more details you can give me about it ?

I will just say it looks great but im not sure if it will hold up long in a duel. I could be wrong tho. I don't really duel with the conversions so I really don't know. Looks accurate tho. I guess it depends on how much of a beating you plan to give it.

What did you use from TCSS ? Also, the tri led doesnt light in its 100% with the stock electronics right?

I used the tri led blue blue white, the lense they have for the tri, and a new red button as well as a new glass eye. they look way better than the crappy plastic ones. hooked all of them up for the pale blue color. im sure it would be brighter with a better board.
