I think I figured out my dilemma with making the derelict a full chassis reveal. I don't think it will be duel-able. And it will take some machining but I think I got it figured out! I would explain but I need visual examples.

So what I was planning on doing was removing the threads from the ribbed extension (emitter end) and cutting a notch for the switch box in it and then some how have the pommel screw onto the chassis instead of the hilt and basically squeeze the hilt between the pommel and emitter using the chassis.... but I forgot that the ribbed section has a smaller I.D. then the other mhs parts which pretty much shot that entire plan down...

You could set it up like I did my SK hilt where the chassis stays in the emitter end & the grip unscrews & slides off the chassis

I wouldn't mind doing that at all but I dont think the amount of chassis exposed (about 4 in.) Would be proportionate to do a crystal chamber. It would always feel squished to me basically....
