Thread: Custom switches.

    Default Custom switches.

Has anyone ever tried and succeeded with a hidden switch or a thumbprint scanner to activate their blade? If so, I could use some pointers.

Many members have made hidden switches. Just look thru the Gallery. And all that is needed for a thumbprint scanner to work will not fit in a saber hilt....yet.

I don't remember where I saw them, but I saw someone who had used a magnetic switch inside a saber. it's designed to work with a steel ring worn by the user. If I remember where I saw it, i'll post a link.

I'm almost positive, if you google magnetic switch, you'll find it.

They're called reed switches. This is also a new built in feature on the CF8.
