Default How to hold a blade in a hardware saber?

Hey everyone. I'm working on a saber hilt out of a 1.25" sink pipe tube. What is the best way to attach a blade bought online, from tcss most likely? I am aware of the adapters in tcss, i assume they just fit in the sink tube to accept the threading of a bought blade holder? However, Id like to use my own shroud that i make, and not spend 40 bucks on an adapter and holder. Are there any options? Thank you guys

Also, how would i use that alongside my own shroud? I want to use my own shroud, i assume that's to just hold a shroud bought from tcss as well?

The threads are for the LED heatsink. This goes inside your tube. You would drill and tap a whole for your retention screw.

The store also carries one of those style blade holders for 1 1/2" tubes: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/15...er--P1048.aspx These are designed to slide inside a 1 1/2" chrome plated, 22ga. sink drain tailpiece extension, like this one: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/1-...-tube-P84.aspx you can then design your shroud however you like. I'd suggest reading through the gallery section of the forums looking for ideas on how to build the saber.
