Hi guys.
It's been a heck of a long time (High school) since I've done electronics so I'm having to relearn how everything works. Before going on to building a sabre with sound, I want to put a basic stunt sabre together as a practice run. (I did finally get around to putting one together last week but it'd been sitting in my draw for 5 or 6 years and so I have no idea how I worked the resistor out. Lights up fine though. )
I'm thinking this battery pack:

and a blue rebel.
Blue 70lm @ 700mA 3.4v - Run at 1000mA
Here's where I need some maths checking:
6V - 3.4Vf = 2.6V
If the power supply is 2.6 and the LED is run at 1000mA:
1000mA = 1A
R = V / I
R = 2.6V / 1A
R = 2.6ohm?
Nearest resistor in stock is a 2.7ohm 10w. So... do I go for that or the 2.2ohm 5w?
Hopefully, I'm on the right track here.
