Thread: Hardware store saber

    Default Hardware store saber

Here again is a little saber I put together from hardware store parts.

This one is a stunt build with a 2-die Cree XML B/G for cyan.

It uses a 16-gauge aluminum tube as the base and has brass and copper accents, leather wrap, copper pommel, and an etched grip section.
The spiral pattern on the grip was just easy to make, and this is a give-away saber for someone, so I wanted it to look nice and handle ergonomically without spending a ton of time applying resist in an intricate pattern.

The etched aurebesh lettering says, "Mine, not yours," which refers to something the recipient (my brother) used to put on his belongings to warn us off from playing with his stuff.

    Specs:
    2x dice (Cree XML)
3x AAA (rechargeable), with recharge port in the pommel
12mm latching unlit switch with TCSS switch bevel
BRS is custom-made with brass head, an 8-32 set screw, and Swarovski crystal inset.

So certain are you; always with you it cannot be done.
Hear you nothing that I say?
