I tinkered with the shock blaster some more, and now I'm finally done. I wanted this one to have a rich sound. I drilled through the walnut M1 garand stock, so I could put a speaker in the butt. Here's the before picture.

Here's what the butt looks like with a familiar part covering the speaker...

I got a chance to show off this shock bllaster yesterday. People thought it was really cool. They were really impressed by the smoke effect. What?!! A wire shorted out and started burning. Dang! I don't yet know if the blaster core was damaged. I found two worn wires. I think they were caught in the bolt action somehow. I guess I'll have to rethink the design. Dang!

Looks like the weapon of choice for a Jawa scavenger looking to score some astro-mech action. How much hollowing out did you have to do on the stock for the switch and speaker? My heart sank a little when you stated that the trigger and chassis were donors from a M1-Grand. I can still hear the "ping" from the stripper clips after the last shell is fired.

There's tons oh M-1 stocks on eBay. People make lamps out of them. It only took about ten minutes to drill out the stock.

I got frustrated with the mess of wires and gutted the whole thing. Now there's no wiring at all. I'll get back to it later, after I work out the bolt action better.

The dual shock motor was pretty cool though.
