Thread: Tri rebel and rebel question.

    I am using the one from the store for my single rebel and its blindingly bright.As for my tri rebel,I am going to radio shack to get properly calculated resistors.

    Are you sure it's a dynaohm resistor and not a buck puck? Buck pucks are intended for the mains. Both are made by LuxDrive. If it is the dynaohm I would not hook it to an accent because it's not functioning.

    Here is the link to the spec sheet for the color rebels. I have personally never tried driving one below 200 mA, but by the specs they should not even light with under 100 mA. I would be interested in how much brighter you get them with the right resistors.

    Well, a 20mA accent LED can look blindingly bright all on its own, but it won't light a saber blade very well. You shouldn't look directly at a properly driven Rebel or Cree without protective eyewear.
