Default NBv3/Tri-Cree/Accent LED/Illuminated Switch/Recharge Port Wiring Diagram Check

There comes a point in every man's life where he subjects himself to the ridicule of his peers. This is that moment. :P

Just checking to see if this diagram is right before I move forward.

Close, but there are some issues. The light blue LED(-) should not connect to the recharge port. The third pad on the board only connects to LED(-) pads.

The second pad on the board needs to go to the leftmost terminal on your recharge port (where you currently have the light blue wire).

The dark blue wire that connects to your battery(-) should only connect to the bottom terminal of the recharge port and the switch ground.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

I'm confused on what you're saying. You said the second pad on the board (which is connected to the dark blue wire) needs to go to the left terminal of the recharge port. Then you say the dark blue should only go to the switch ground and the bottom terminal of the recharge port? Could you clarify what you're saying?

    Thanks!

Bottom terminal only connects to switch ground and the battery negative.

The LED negatives only connect to pad 3.

Board negative (pad 2) and the accent LED at the top of your diagram will connect to left terminal of the recharge port.

This should be a daily exercise. Great growth and joy will come from having another man to hold you accountable for every aspect of you life. It is one of several cultural elements that faded when apprentices stopped being trained by masters.

The revised diagram looks correct to me.

Awesome, thanks! One more quick question. Do I have to do anything special for a kill key to work or is it something that just works with recharge ports?

As long as your recharge port is wired correctly, the kill key just works if you can insert it all the way. I had a problem on my build where the kill key worked fine outside the saber, but did nothing inside the saber. Finally realized that the saber body was keeping the kill key from going all the way in.
