Thread: Corellian Inspired Saber Build

    Default Corellian Inspired Saber Build

Heya everyone! Finally got around to getting our second saber design completed- insides and all. Take "complete" with a grain of salt however, because there were some errors with the shroud when we cut/made it. We worked with it as much as we could though, and it turned out alright.

So, this one was inspired by two things: The desert, and Corellian jedi. (Thus the green colors/calming style) The etching design on this one took some time, specifically on the layered/woven lines that were etched. This saber also features light acid weathering, to give it a more "relic" look.

    Specs:

    -MHS base parts
    -Nano soundboard
    -Bass Speaker
-Custom made chassis (not pretty, so no pictures. Just a nice, locked in/sturdy one for sparring)
    -3.7V 18650 Battery
    -In-hilt recharge port
-Stupid red button that I regret using
    -Powdercoated parts
-Amber colored rebel LED that I regret not making a tri
    -Stainless steel knurled thumbscrew
-Various other parts and materials for etching/custom shroud making

And here is the good part: Pictures!

    Thanks for taking a look!

From Wikipedia: "Internet Explorer slows down GIFs if the framerate is 20 frames per second or higher and Microsoft reports that Google Chrome and Safari also slow down some GIF animations."

Thanks guys! and haha! I'd like to get a shot with it fired up- but unfortunately, the only blade I have right now with me is my battle blade, which is REALLY scratched up. XD

Thanks man! Funnily enough, your awesome saber(s) are some of the first I saw when I got here on the forum- you're the one that got me thinking about etching and stuff!
