Thread: Tri or Quad LED star?

  1. #1

Default Tri or Quad LED star?

Can I get a gold color in mixing an R-G-RB tri LED or would I have to go with a R-G-RB-A quad LED?

It looks like I may have answered my own question, as I tested the color mixing out in my graphics design software, and it looks like with an RGBW setup, I can still pretty much mix to get any color respectively. Still, any input is welcome.

You should be able to get ANY color with a Tri-Cree R-rB-G.

Yellow only requires R/G. You can dial in the exact color you want with a couple of resistors or potentiometers. That will leave your 3rd LED to be your FoC (Flash on Clash) color; white, red, blue, etc.
