Thread: My new/old saber

    Default My new/old saber

Morning all. I haven't completed a Saber in quite some time. But this weekend I was all in to get this one done. I've had the MHS parts for this going on 4 years now, heck at one point I had it up on a certain auction site. Truly glad it didn't sell now.

While it's working, I still have a few minor things to touch up on it. Switch caps, low battery led, and paint the pommel insert. But I'm going to call this one 98% done.

The shroud is mine, cut with a dremel, sand paper and files. Cree GGW. Chassis from some other site. Nano biscotti V2 w/pex. And all the associated hardware.

It sat like this for most of the time I've had it.

I did mess up on one of the notches on the bottom of the shroud.

I'm always impressed with people that have enough skill with a dremel to do work like this. My dremel work is much more clumsy, so I only do the most basic things with it; the ocassional straight line, blade cutting, and a little grinding with the stone wheel.

Thanks CET. I've found that dremel, powder coating, building the saber is the easy part for me. I hate wiring them.
