Older ones didn't have a fuse. Neither does yours.

That look exactly like the board I used in my luxeon saber. The wiring on it was pretty straight-forward. Just do it like X-wing said. The only difference with mine, is that I've been running it on 4.5 volts for a couple years and haven't burned out the board, just had a 3-watt led go out on me a few weeks ago. The board I used came out of a 2002 AOTC "Jedi" saber that had an orange blade, but was basically a re-colored QG.

I think so but I'm not positive.. I can tell you for sure if you need to know for something that you are working on. They are both inside resonance chambers right now and they heavily taped up. The Mace that is lying in my parts box definitely has a separate sensor.

so is there a specific hasbro sound board that i could use that would sound the best? i have the vader, windu, qui-gon, and the build your own. if it works well, does anyone have a wiring diagram i could use or direct me to one? that would be fantastic!

My ROTS Vaders are OK I guess.

X-Wing says that the ROTJ Vaders are the best, but I don't remember what they sound like.

I had the speaker for my Mace card mounted to a 2" long metal tube that made it really loud, but the sound effects weren't the best.

I guess its up to you as to what sounds the best to you. Here is a link to the Hasbro sound card wiring.
