    Default Chassis Opinions

So, I'm debating on whether to use the V6 Speaker Mount http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MH...kers-P892.aspx (As shown from the TCSS youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sApB7J5JdZ4) or the chassis discs sold in the store (Also demoed by Rob on the TCSS channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrA-FiAvR5U). In both cases I plan on using an 18650 battery and a Nano Biscotte sound board. So from what I understand:
    V6 Speaker Mount
    Pros:
    • Removable battery
    • Slightly cheaper

    Cons:
    • Doesn't look as pretty
    • Soundboard isn't really held in by anything other than the T8 tube (I think that's a con, but I'm not entirely sure)

    Chassis Discs
    Pros:
    • Looks pretty
    • Soundboard seems more secure

    Cons:
    • More expensive
    • Battery is less easily accessible

I am wondering what other people think of the chassis designs. Am I missing something significant? Like do the chassis discs allow for more resonance in the hilt, etc. I'm currently leaning towards the V6 Speaker Mount because the idea of a swappable battery appeals to me, but at the same time a 3400 mah battery sounds like it should have plenty of capacity.

Looks are negligible if you are not doing a reveal. Personally I wouldn't factor that into the decision. It really comes down to how you want to handle the battery. If you want removable use v6. If you don't, use the discs and install a recharge port. And yes the battery you mentioned offers very good runtime. Lastly, you can always use double sided foam tape to secure the board.

Thanks for the response! I think I'll go with the V6 speaker holder then.

I like the sound of that. I bet it would go nicely on the Micro SD card holder that way I can let the other electronics "breath" so to speak.
