Thread: Question about electronics

    Default Question about electronics

    Hello!
Tell me please, what LED will be brighter: Cree XP-E2 RED with 8,7deg lens or Tri-Cree (Red, Red and white on Flash) with standart lens? Any differences?

And one more question: is it real to add the button with only "flash" (like in flash on clash) on it when pushing? Like imitation of saber locking together. How can I do it on NB3 or maybe on another soundboard?
    Thanks.

    R/R/W Tri-Rebel is brighter than single Cree. R/R/W Tri-Cree is brighter than R/R/W Tri-Rebel.

If you want the lockup effect, you'll want a soundboard like the Petit Crouton, Prizm, or Crystal Focus. The Nano Biscotte doesn't support the lockup effect.

    Thank you, you awesome.
What is the most cheap soundboard with lockup and flickering effect?

The Prizm is $115 USD: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Pr...-V35-P990.aspx
The Petit Crouton is $125 USD: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Pe...-V35-P893.aspx

They're both currently out of stock, but more are being made as we speak. The Nano Biscotte is only $67, but lacks the lockup effect (and a few other features).

There are others, but we do not discuss competitor's products on the TCSS forums.

Can I add to NB3 "sound off" button?

Your question is a bit confusing. Are you asking if you can add the lockup effect to the power button on the NB3? The answer to that is no.

If you want to add a "mute button" to the NB3, then yes that is possible.

Yes, I am asking about "mute" button. Is there any tutorials of how can I do that?

I don't think the NB has the "Mute-on-the-Go" feature, so you'd need to go with a less elegant solution.

All you have to do is install a small latching switch on one of your speaker wires. Doesn't matter which wire, just be sure it's a latching switch. When the switch is in the open position, sound will stop.

I did this exact procedure on a lightsaber nightlight, so I could disable sound and still use the light without waking the wife.
