    i am going to be doing a mock up of the wrap so that when i prototypeit i can place the mock up between the coils

    If you put the coil in a plastic/printed pommel insert and create a base to be able to stand the saber in you should hvmave no problem getting them close enough and the base would keep the aligned for optimal connection. I dont see whybthis wouldn't work.
