Thread: Testing Speaker

I was soldering my speaker wire on and solder got into an area that worries me. Is there a way to test the speaker without soldering it to the board? I don't have my speaker mount yet and just want to test the speaker to make sure it will work properly before wiring it up.

Well you can always connect the battery and a switch to the board then touch the two sides of the speaker to the board. When I tested mine, I really just taped everything together or used a bread board then turned it on.

You can just touch the leads to the ends of a regular AA battery and check it. You should hear static.

I tested it with the AA first and then decided to go ahead and just do a quick boot up test on the nano biscotte. Booted up fine and sound pretty good. Thanks for the suggestions.
