Thread: Wiring in Parallel?

    Default Wiring in Parallel?

I wired my tri-cree B/W/W with Blue having a 1omh 2watt resistor and the white having a .5ohm 3watt resitor. My question is can i wire the Blue and White in parallel after the resistors? I am looking to have the "silver" blade color.Wiring Diagram.jpg

I am slightly worried that i got the wrong resistors. Will these resistors give the blade the silver color?

I don't know about the silver color, but you're overdriving the white LED with the 0.5 ohm 3 watt resistor. The resistor is fine for flash on clash, but for running the LED as a main blade you'll need a 0.55 ohm 0.55 watt resistor. The 1 ohm 2 watt would protect the white main blade LED.

To get the silver color, get several different resistors for the blue, like 0.5 ohm, 1 ohm, 2 ohm, and test them to find the color you're looking for.

Thanks for the help. Is the wiring fine besides the resistor change?

    Looks good to me.

I said earlier to test different resistors on the blue LED. You might neet to test different resistors on the white LED instead/as well.
