Thread: Sanding blade material

    Default Sanding blade material

I could swear that I read somewhere about people sanding their trans-white blades. Can anyone confirm if that's something they've known someone to do and what kind of results I could expect? Thanks in advance!

I do indeed sand my trans white blades, even though VV sands them already. I'm just OCD like that.
I use 1200 grit and a light touch.

Thanks for the reply, DM. What exactly does that do for the blade? Does it help to diffuse the light mire evenly at all?

Yes. For me, I hate the light in a tube thing, where you see the blade color but it looks stuck in a shiny tube.
It may be a tad brighter without sanding, but tri cree led's are so bright that it's negligible. I very much prefer the light to go all the way to the blade edge.

I think I'm going to give a go! Thanks, Darkmatter!
