Default My first saber build - "Revenant" / On budget build

    Hello everybody
First of all : Sorry for my rusty school english.
4 weeks ago I was strolling over a flea market in Germany with my beloved wife . There I saw a flashlight on a table of a turkish dealer. I said to myself :"What a nice hilt!". As a result I've bought two of these gem's (19 Euro approx. 20 $ total). The second one is for spare parts.
In a nutshell : That was the point where the story began. My aim was to build a lightsaber as cheap as possible (under 100 $).
As a result of searching the web for saber parts I came across this great forum.

The flashlight has 3 modes : Bright, dim and flickering

My current setup is the following:

1 Cree flashlight with 1 brightwhite LED 2,7W
1 33" blade from the guys of Saberproject in Germany
1 blade holder made of a repair kit for garden hoses
4 heat resistant colour filters (yellow, green, blue and red) for PAR-64 spotlights
1 really cheap sound PCB out of a kids saber that I've bought from Am*zon (Loud and damned close to the orig. Sound of FX with ignite, hum, clash, shutdown)
1 pommel made out of a turning knob for douches
    1 Visaton premium speaker 28 mm 1W
2 guarded switches (momentary for On/Off and latching as a kill switch)
Misc. parts (cables, connectors, griptape, shoelaces etc.)

All in all the saber costs 85 Euro ~ 95 $

    And here are some pics:

    Kind regards from Germany.

Agreed, That's a pretty nice colour. Excellent job on a budget. The blade holder looks cool.

    Hi Greenie

Yes, the blade holder fits nicely around the blade. It's called "Gardena Reparator" and has exactly a 1" hole.

Great find. Funny how 'everything' looks like lightsaber parts

very cool work. I dig the whole set up. Very nice use of "found parts" I'm always a big fan when it comes to that sort of thing.
