    Default finished first scratch build

Hello everyone. I finally finished my first scratch build saber(1 of 3). A while back I had made a saber using MHSv2 parts and fell in love with how it felt in the hand. Since then I had sold it and have wanted to make another except I wanted to see how thin I could go. So I decided to make one from scratch. I started from 1.25" aluminum tubes for the main body and 1.375 for the shrouds and pommel section. heat sinks from copper rod and chassis from delrin rod. dimensions are after completion 12.25" length 1.35" diameter at the shrouds, 1.25" main body with the grip section being 1.20". I sort of made it look like a previous MHS based saber I made crossed with a little vader. The cut-out in the emitter and the shoud piece is suppose to look like an eye.

    hardware:
    plecterlabs prizm 3.5
    Panasonic 2800mah 18650
    tri cree xpe2 RGrB
    28mm bass speaker
    2.1 Recharge port
    internal RICE port
    modified pommel 3

Also I wanted my thin saber to have a full size 28mm speaker so I designed a chassis that held the speaker outside the main part of the hilt and the bottom pommel section slid over that part of the chassis and is held in place with set screws holding the two parts together and holding the chassis in place.

Thank you all for taking a look

thanks! I wanted it to be fairly minimalist with just a few points of flair as its designed for a duelist in mind with nothing getting in the way for the hands. With defined ridges top and bottom to know where you are on the hilt.

Nice hilt, I like the simplicity of its design.
It's very interesting your solution for the chassis, clever idea.
