Question SW:TOR - Darth Angral Build - Recommended Parts?

    Hello all,

Can anyone make recommendations for MHS (v1/v2/v3?) parts that might suit this saber?:

Also seen here (Weapons > Lightsaber Style 24):

It belongs to this guy: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Angral

I'm hoping to build this, but if I can standardise it using MHS, that would be great!!

You will probably need to machine some custom claws, but other than that you should be able to recreate it more or less using the MHS. Play around with the MHS builder (found at the MHS builder tab at the top) to see what you can come up with.

I'll be honest, I've never seen this saber before, but I like it alot.

There will be quite a bit of custom work here as Nano has stated above^ , (claws/fins, groves, protruding buttons). For the "naked" hilt I would suggest the following MHSv1 parts:

    From pommel to emitter:
    - MPS Pommel #6
    - 4" double female threaded connector (request lathe work from TCSS to make grooves)
    - MHS Extension Blank Style 3 (with Black powder coating option)
    - MHS Extension Blank Style 1 (maybe request switch holes on this, if you want activation switch here)
    - LED Blade holder style 1

That will get you the basic body of the saber that looks like this:

Then it's up to you on how you machine or fabricate the fins/claws. Looks like it could end up being pretty cool, good luck with it!

Played around with a few things in the MHS builder, including using a grooved extension on the lower part:SaberBuilder_Angral MHS.jpgSaberBuilder_Angral MHS - i.jpg
but in the end, I think WarMachine's suggestion of getting the grooves custom machined by TCSS and then powdercoating that part would look the most faithful to the design. That way you could get rectangular grooves instead of the v-grooves of the extension.

And then I would use two A/V "Dot light" switches in the upper hilt for those lights up there, and then all you need to do is the upper shroud/claws and figure out what you want for that Red greeblie in the middle.

Also: Sorry for the delayed response! It was quiet here for a while, and then I didn't see any notifications! >.<
