Default First light saber: need dimensions

    Hi guys,
I want to build and design my own custom light saber but I do need some more information about the dimensions..

There are some pieces that I am planning to make, and others that I will get from the TCSS Store.. But I need them to be compatible.

So I got a few questions:

    - What's the diameter of the hilt, pommel and whats the thread size?
    - What's the outer diameter of the blade?
    - How much space do I need inside the hilt to pit battery, etc..

Any information would be very helpful to help me design and see what I can make/build myself and what I need to buy.

    Cheers

    1. http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com...System-aka-MHS will tell you inner and outer diameters of standard MHS parts. The threading is a shop secret, but a good machinist should be able to figure it out once he has MHS parts in hand. Making MHS compatible parts for your personal use is fine. Making them to sell is highly discouraged.

    2. OD of the blade is typically 1". There are also 7/8" and 3/4" blades.

    3. Depends on what you want to put in there. A typical saber is around 12" long, give or take a couple inches. Most of that length will be usable internal space. It fills up fast.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
