Thread: Humble Beginnings

    Default Humble Beginnings

While I'm new to the current saber scene I am proud to have built my first saber before even the first Master Replica sabers in 2003. I present to you "Cinder Dawn". This was put together using entirely found and scavenged parts back in 1998-99.

Later in 2000-2001 I did a refit on it in the hopes I could get a little LED action going. At the time I knew nothing about electronics and those accents lasted maybe a day before they blew. I'd already begun work on my next saber (including internal detail) so I gave it to my roommate at the time. I recently got back in touch with this gentlemen and he was kind enough to photograph it for me.

Eventually I will be "reforging" Cinder Dawn using MHS. For now I am content to simply share a little bit of history with you kind folks.

That's a fine saber. You have a good eye for detail.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
