    Default First Saber Parts List!

Hey guys I've been snooping around for 2-3 months now and I was wondering if you could help me with where I should put my switch hole, which retention screw and screw hole size I should have and my parts list and tell if I'm missing anything!. I'm still pretty new to all of this and I hope to build a saber with a NB v2 with FoC. Thanks!

EDIT: I've changed the blade holder of my saber, the picture is now updated.

I also forgot to ask where the screw hole on my blade holder should go, whoops haha. By the way how do I get rid of the attached thumbnail? It's an image of my saber with the other blade holder.

I don't see any batteries, so I'm assuming you're getting them elsewhere. I also see just one resistor. You're going to want one for each of your LED dice.

Location of switch hole is up to you, though I'd advise against having it in threaded sections of the saber. Get it someplace comfortable to press when you're holding the saber. Make a mockup out of cardboard and see where your fingers lie while you're holding it.

I typically use an 8-32 screw for blade retention. Sometimes I use a set screw if I want a clean look, other times I use a thumbscrew for ease of use. It's up to you really. You could also get one of each, since they're easy enough to swap out.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

Well OP does live in Australia, so they would have to come from elsewhere.

Yeah, I didn't see that until after I made my post.

    Thanks for the info!

Would using a .5 ohm 3w resistor for each of them be suitable? Or would you suggest using different resistors depending on how bright you want the diodes to be?
For example, I have a Amber/Amber/White Tri-Rebel/Cree for the purpose of making a yellow saber. Should I make the white brighter, and which resistor would be ideal?
