Thread: Fisrt Fully Functional Saber Finished

Red face Fisrt Fully Functional Saber Finished

This was a saber that I built for a good friend to give to her boyfiend as a Christmas present. She wanted something unique, but with an old-school flair. I think I did ok with it.

    The Gift

    Specs

    NBv2 with Power Xtender
    Tri-Rebel Red/Green/Royal Blue
    Li-Ion 18500 3.7V 1400mAh Battery
    Yellow LED indicator
6 Piece rubber grip set 8"
    Kobold D-Ring
    2W 28mm Bass Speaker
    Red thumb screw

I used a red anodized momentary switch to match the red thumbscrew. I used the grips to add some visual appeal, and be reminiscent of Ep. IV sabers.

I really like it, but hope the rubber strips hold. I put them on sink tube once and they slid around. Ended up having to put a cap screw on each end of them to keep them in place, but no problems after that. Simple, but stylish here. Really like that short choke with that choice of blade holder.
