My question is how would I go about getting in the star wars marching band? lol. Been marching pretty much all my life. Is this a function of the 501st or some other thing?

That was the Grambling State University Marching Band and they were dressed in Imperial Officer costumes. They are not affiliated with the 501st, they were just chosen to march with them.

I was there at the Rose Parade as a spectator, dressed in Endor Commando gear. I grew up in Southern California, but have never been to the Rose Parade before. I guess I needed a good reason to go and freeze my butt of very early in the morning. :P
