    Never saw pieces like that in my hardware store. I look through the sink/plumbing area for that type of stuff all the time, too. Looks cool.

    If I'm not mistaken, I believe they are 3/4' reducing couplers. They're just about an inch OD and around 1.5" long. I did a search online and found similar ones in copper but not brass...

    So that brass furniture insert is just held in place by an O ring?

    Ah yes, having the right eye for parts hunting is a good thing. The furniture inserts look great.

    Additionally, I'd bet these plugs have the heft to just drop out when you want them to, vs. light plastic plugs that get stuck inside the blade holder...

    Spot on. The added weight of the faucet aerator on the plastic one pictured has a similar effect.

    Sorry I missed this. Yep, well a couple of rings in different diameters. Three I think.

    Those look awesome. I've begun my search for the coupler. I'm not sure I'm 100% pleased with what I've made.
