Thank you all. Yes Greenie, 1.25" Sch 40 PVC. I rigged my lathe to take material out of the inside to get the right fit. The ring defines the forward extreme of the grip, and the other bits got added to give it a little detail and dimension. It was a lot like doing body-work in miniature scale...

This saber looks phenomenal! I love the simple, yet ornate look. The shroud, jewel accents, and switch area are really cool!
