Thread: First hilt build...

    Default First hilt build...

    Since the "weathered relic" look seems in now, I decided to go for new and shiny with a more "modern" appearance. MHS hilt 3 with a .75" extension, blade holder 13, and blank pommel. Shroud is painted PVC.

    Brass insert 6. Used the port hole for a lanyard ring mount (an RC shock cap and handmade ring)

    Windows for the crystal chamber hand cut with drill press and files

    Now I need a soundboard...

    That shroud is very, very nice. Great saber.

    Excellent work, I do love a shiny saber. Agreed, that is a nice shroud. PVC ?

    ohh very nice... subtle, but with almost a hint of 'royal' feeling to it... kinda saber i could imagine a prince jedi wielding

    Very nice work, especially for a first! Love the shrouds and the color scheme. I wish there were more pics to look at
