PNP blue paper worked quite well for a first go.

I used that exact pen but must have done something wrong. Kind of like the blemishes though.

it happens sometimes... did you give the tube a proper cleandown before doing anything? sometimes some grease or dust or whatever can get under the PNP and cause problems with it adhering

To be honest i probably didn't looking back. Trial and error i suppose.

grab some white spirit and give it a rubdown first... could just be spots of grease or dust on the metal causing problems
