Sorry for reviving his potentially dead thread. Would this work with Tri Cree setup using a 3.7V battery?
I see no reason why it wouldn't.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

I'm looking to do exactly the same thing. I have a blade builders Kylo ren that I want to gut the soundboard from. I purchased a 3.5v 3w led for my main beam but the output from the board is only 3v. Anybody know how I can step it up abit?
It's not fun! Mine had extra factory glue, everything I broke I upgraded!
Hi A Need Help On Something.
I Am Trying To Build A Custom Lightsaber With A Darth Vader Bladebuilders Lightsaber Soundboard.
I'm Using A Cree XPE-2 LED.
When I Hook Up All The Wires To The Soundboard, The LED Is Not Very Bright.
What Can I Do To Make It The Full Brightness?
THANKS!!!
