Default Batteries and the ribbed extension

Anybody know what battery packs will fit into the ribbed extension? I have a hilt I want to build where the main body is two of these, just wondering if it was practical.

4AAA battery pack and smaller, and a 9v battery fit fine.

Are you doing alkalines or rechargeables?

You can also use the 3 volt lithiums to throw in the mix.
Maybe if you tell us what kind of power requirements your looking for we could throw out some better possibilities.

I'm pretty ignorant about lithiums, but these intrigue me.

CR17450SET Lithium Primary Battery 3v 2500mAh. They come with solder tabs on each end. They also cost about 10.50 each from what I've seen. I'm thinking two of these for a K2. I'm also assuming that a standard RCR 3V charger will fit these? Crap, seeing as how its a primary battery it probably doesn't charge, huh? Like I said I'm ignorant, but willing to learn.
Can anyone recommend one of the 3V lithiums over another?
