Which length set screw would you recommend for BH24?

That depends entirely on where you want the screw to be. It looks like BH24's wall is 1/2" thick at the thickest, and about 1/16" at the thinnest, so use your best judgement. If you're using a set-screw, you can get away with something shorter than the wall's thickness (since you'll be using a hex key to tighten/loosen the screw). If you're using a thumb-screw on the other hand, you'll obviously want something slightly longer than the wall's thickness.
